Heart disease has impacted generations of our Pest Pros family.

In 2017, that reality became deeply personal when our President, Josh Fleenor’s daughter, Dixie, was born with a congenital heart defect and underwent heart surgery at just three months old. Watching a child fight for their life changes everything. It reshapes priorities, clarifies purpose, and strengthens the commitment to serve something bigger than yourself.

Today, Dixie is a healthy, thriving 8-year-old with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Her story is one of early detection, access to care, and hope. Not every family is as fortunate.

That is why Pest Pros proudly supports the American Heart Association and the Go Red for Women initiative. This cause helps fund research, education, and early detection efforts that save lives, especially for women and children affected by heart disease.

We are honored to stand behind this mission and encourage our community to learn more about heart health and the work being done to protect families everywhere.

Season of Giving Toy Drive

Our Season of Giving Toy Drive marked a meaningful milestone for Pest Pros Pest Solutions. It was the first toy drive our company has ever hosted, and it quickly became one of the most impactful community initiatives we have been part of.

With the support of our clients, team members, partners, and the surrounding community, we collected over 1,000 toys valued at more than $40,000. Every donation was given to United Way, helping support children and families throughout the Greater Sacramento region during the holiday season.

This effort was strengthened through our partnership with United Way and local media coverage with CBS, which helped amplify the mission and encouraged even more families and businesses to get involved. Seeing our community rally together around a shared purpose was both humbling and inspiring.

Behind the scenes, our team worked together to collect, sort, bag, wrap, and deliver donations. The final result was a 26 foot U-Haul filled with toys ready for distribution. While the last days were focused on organization and delivery rather than presentation, the true value of the drive was found in the impact it created for local families.        
Pest Pros does not distribute toys directly. All donations were entrusted to United Way to ensure they were responsibly and fairly delivered to those in need.

The Season of Giving Toy Drive reflects one of our core values, Giving Back, and reinforces our commitment to serving our community beyond pest control. This first year laid a strong foundation for a tradition we are proud to continue and grow in the years ahead.

All About Hope | Hope Boxes for Children

Pest Pros is honoring the All About Hope Foundation! ⁠ 

All About Hope gives hospitalized children and their families the tools they need to dream beyond their hospital room. They provide "Hope Boxes" filled with art supplies and project ideas that transport children from their current situation and into the incredible world of their imagination—improving their quality of life and promoting hope for recovery.

Past Community Fundraisers & Impact

CHD Awareness – Dixie Fleenor

In 2017, our President’s daughter, Dixie, was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect shortly after birth and underwent open-heart surgery at just three months old to repair Tetralogy of Fallot.

This fundraiser was created to raise awareness for CHD and to support families navigating similar journeys, recognizing that not every child or family has access to the same resources or outcomes.

The Angela “Angie” Taylor Benefit

This fundraiser honored the life of Angela “Angie” Taylor and supported cancer research efforts inspired by her journey. Diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer at a young age, her story highlights the importance of continued research and medical progress to give others more time and more hope.

Lynda’s Cause – American Brain Foundation

Lynda Fleenor entered the hospital in 2018 with what appeared to be a routine headache. What followed was a seven-month journey across multiple facilities without a definitive diagnosis, highlighting how much remains unknown about brain diseases.

This fundraiser was created to honor her legacy by supporting research dedicated to understanding, preventing, and treating neurological illness.

Each of these efforts represents a chapter in our story, moments where personal experience turned into purpose and awareness into action.

While these campaigns have ended, our commitment to giving back continues to evolve. As we grow, so will our dedication to causes that align with our values and the communities we serve.
